Portuguese goalkeeper Joao Virginia has signed his first professional contract with Arsenal.
The 17-year-old is a regular for the under 18s and has also represented the under 19s in the UEFA Youth League.
And the youngster has now put pen to paper on a permanent contract with the north London outfit.
An Arsenal statement read: “We would all like to congratulate Joao on his contract, and look forward to his continued progress with the club.”
Chelsea will have to pay £50m if they want to sign AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli, according to reports.
The Blues attempted to land the Italian in the summer but the Serie A stood firm and rejected their advances.
But The Sun claim Antonio Conte still has his eye on the defender and hopes to bring him to Stamford Bridge in January.
However, the report suggests Chelsea will have to make an offer of at least £50m for Milan to consider letting him leave.
Manchester United are reportedly in no rush to hand out new contracts to a host of their players.
Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw, Marouane Fellaini and Daley Blind all have deals that expire in 2018.
But according to the Manchester Evening News, the club have no plans to enter negotiations anytime soon due to each of them having a one-year extension clause written into their existing deals.
Jurgen Klopp is reportedly keen to snap up Inter Milan’s Geoffrey Kondogbia.
The France international has fallen down the pecking order under Frank de Boer in Italy and has failed to live up to his £25m price-tag since he joined from Monaco last summer.
And according to Transfermarketweb, Klopp is keen to offer him a route out of Italy by linking up with him at Anfield.
The report suggests he has asked Liverpool chiefs to enquire about the possibility of a move at the turn of the year.
