The party, however, said its statement complimenting Ambode's government should not be construed as adopting the government.
It insisted that the previous administration of Governor Babatunde Fashola who is presently the Minister of Works, Power and Housing thrived on propaganda and what it called pseudo achievements.
This was contained in a statement by the party's Publicity Secretary, Mr. Taofiq Gani. The party is of the view that Fashola's headship of three Ministries is not appropriate given the technicalities involved and the Minister being a lawyer.
The party queried the Minister for celebrating generation of 30 mega watts of electricity from Gurara Hydro Power Plant, describing at laughable and infuriating.
It said power supply has not improved since Fashola took over, adding that electricity generation had dipped significantly from 6000 mega watts to 300 watts. According to the statement rather than celebrating the Minister should own up to its failing.
The party admonished President Muhammadu Buhari to be weary of propaganda.
"As governor of Lagos state, he enjoyed unprecedented revenues and donations, yet left many services untouched or unfinished. He however deliberately funded his pro-fashola media and commentators so much that pseudo and exaggerated achievements were ascribed to him. He employed this model to promote his 8 years government of mediocrity. Fashola ended up making lagos state biggest debtor with local and foreign debts well over 1 trillion naira. Without adopting the government of Ambode, at least we can now see signs of government presence in some erstwhile abandoned areas under Fashola".
