This was disclosed by the leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND), Henry Charles Okah who is also an inmate in the prison with Kanu.
Speaking further, Okah who was recently nominated by The Rebranded Indigenous People of Biafra (TRIPOB) and the Renegade Indigenous People of Biafra (RENIPOB) as their leader, noted that Nnamdi Kanu walks about with an ‘entourage’ and is addressed as “His Excellency” in Kuje Maximum prison.
Berating the act, Okah stressed that Nnamdi Kanu has shown that he lacks the humility to win the hearts of Biafra supporters, adding that the troubled Biafra leader is too proud to lead the Biafra people.
According to him, “Humility comes before honour. Even in prison, not a few concerned persons, particularly Biafrans have argued that Nnamdi Kanu believes he is already the “President of Biafra” and goes about with an ‘entourage’ and is addressed as “His Excellency”.”
“That is a fact I have witnessed myself. This narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) was enough to drive away so many of his admirers, who have since flocked in droves and thereby swelled the teeming number of TRIPOB members,” Okah opined.
Recall Kanu alongside his co-accused, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi are facing a six-count charge of treasonable felony, brought against them by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Although they have been granted bail twice by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, President Muhammadu Buhari’s led government has refused to obey the court orders raising doubts over the possibility of Mr. Kanu and his co-accused regaining freedom
