Hillary Clinton Faints After 9/11 Remembrance Event, Diagnosed With Pneumonia [Video]
Videos of Hillary Clinton slumping as she made for her van after leaving a 9/11 event surfaced on social media, and not long after, her team released a report that the Presidential hopeful has been diagnosed with pneumonia.
According to the New York Times, Clinton abruptly left a New York ceremony marking the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, an incident now linked to pneumonia and dehydration.
“Secretary Clinton has been experiencing a cough related to allergies. On Friday, during a follow up evaluation of her prolonged cough, she was diagnosed with pneumonia,” Dr. Lisa R. Bardack, who examined Clinton, said, adding, “She was put on antibiotics, and advised to rest and modify her schedule. While at this morning’s event, she became overheated and dehydrated. I have just examined her and she is now re-hydrated and recovering nicely.”
The video making rounds on social media shows the presidential candidate struggling to steady herself as she made for the waiting van and eventually buckling. She was assisted by two Secret Service agents who helped her get off the curb, and hoisted her into the van.
Hillary Clinton had arrived at the 9/11 remembrance event at around 8 a.m. and left at around 9:30 a.m. for her daughter’s apartment, during which time the disturbing clip was recorded.
Speaking with the press, Nick Merrill, her campaign spokesman, said, she was feeling ‘overheated’.
“During the ceremony, she felt overheated, so she departed to go to her daughter’s apartment, and is feeling much better,” he simply said.
The incident has prompted conversations on social media about Clinton’s health. While some Americans are worried that her health is worse than the explanations her team gave, others noted that it possibly is simply a case. She is human, after all.
