    Buhari To Complete Water Project Started By Jonathan In His Hometown

    The Muhammadu Buhari administration is set to complete a water supply project in Bayelsa state which will benefit the indigenes of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan hometown, Otuoke.

    The minister of water resources, Suleiman Adamu, who inaugurated the project yesterday, September said 13 communities, including Otuoke, would benefit from the project which will cost N5.9 billion.

    According to the News Agency of Nigeria, 130,000 people are expected to benefit from the project.

    The project was kick-started by the Jonathan administration, even as Adamu promised that the federal government is committed to complete all abandoned water projects left by the past administration.

    The minister noted that adequate water supply for human and livestock production was a crucial aspect of social and economic development.
