Syrian Women Take To The Streets To Celebrate Freedom From ISIS As Terror Group's Key Stronghold Is Re-Taken

Syrian women celebrating being liberated from the ISIS regime have burned their burkas in the street.

Crowds of delighted women and children took to the streets in the northern city of Manbij after a months-long military push saw the terror group finally defeated.

As the crowds cheer and clap, one woman borrows a lighter from a bystander to set her burka ablaze.

Other women and children gather around to help her set the material on fire and cheer as it goes up in flames.

The US-backed Syria Democratic Forces took control of the city, a key ISIS stronghold due to its proximity to the Turkish border, which had been under regime control for the past two years.
