Gareth Bale is Manchester United's No.1 target for next summer
Manchester United will launch a £100m move for Gareth Bale next summer.
The Red Devils are aiming to take over from Real Madrid as the home of the Galacticos and have made Bale their No.1 target.
United made Paul Pogba the most expensive player in the world when they signed him for £89m earlier this month but that fee would be topped if United could land Bale, who would become the first £100m player.
United believe they could have an ace to play in that their kit sponsors, Adidas, also have a contract with Bale. Adidas played a significant role in the signing of Pogba.
United are in the race to sign Nottingham Forest winger Oliver Burke, the Sun on Sunday report.
Jose Mourinho wants to sign the 19-year-old before loaning him back to the Championship club.
Burke is in high demand with Arsenal also keeping close tabs on him while West Brom had a £6m bid rejected earlier in the transfer window.
United will also face competition from European giants Bayern Munich, who have enquired about a £10m deal, and Barcelona.
United will not be signing Brazilian striker Gabriel Barbosa.
The Red Devils were among the clubs linked with a move for the 19-year-old.
But they never held talks about a deal and Barbosa is now poised to join Inter from Santos for £20m.
