CHRISTIAN BENTEKE is expected to be confirmed as a Crystal Palace player today, according to reports
The Liverpool striker travelled to London yesterday to hold talks over personal terms with the Eagles.
Following an accepted bid worth up to £32million from Palace, Benteke underwent a medical last night.
And according to the Croydon Advertiser, Alan Pardew's side are confident the Belgian has passed and he will be unveiled on Saturday.
The forward was even pictured clutching a Palace shirt after leaving the club's offices last night.
Benteke struggled to settle at Anfield and Jurgen Klopp is happy to let him go having recuperated the money Liverpool paid Aston Villa for him last summer.
The 25-year-old is set to make his Palace debut on Tuesday night in their EFL Cup clash against Blackpool at Selhurst Park.
Prior to that, the Eagles visit Tottenham today (3pm) and the view is to announce the signing of Benteke before the game.
Palace saw off competition from West Brom and West Ham who have both shown interest in the striker this summer.
And on Benteke, Pardew said yesterday: “He got the move to Liverpool and it hasn't quite worked out. For us, we need to get him back to doing what he does best. I think he'll enjoy that with the wide players we have.”
