Arsenal’s manager is tired of fielding questions about his transfer policies
Arsenal fans aren’t the only people fed up with issues regarding the Gunners’ transfer policies. Manager Arsene Wenger has had enough with the media’s barrage of questions to him on the touchy subject.
The Arsenal manager revealed his feelings after the club’s 0-0 draw at Leicester City yesterday. He went so far as to comment that he’s “fed up” with having to answer the same questions over and over again from the press.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say that there are quite a few Arsenal fans who have a strong opinion about how Wenger could go about stopping those questions. The throngs of unhappy Gunner fans would suggest their thrifty boss spend big to bring new talent to The Emirates. Then he could stop answering the press’ questions on the subject.
The Arsenal fan base is particularly upset with Wenger’s frugality as of late. The club desperately need reinforcements for both their central defense and striking options. Their defense cost them mightily in their opening 4-3 loss to Liverpool and the attack cost them points in their 0-0 draw against Leicester City.
In fairness to Wenger, it’s not as if he hasn’t made any attempt to solve his club’s squad deficiencies. The Gunners have been linked with a myriad of transfer targets this summer. In particular, Shkodran Mustafi and Alexandre Lacazette still seem to be squarely in play to become late window signings. The addition of those two could turn the window from a failure to a success story for Wenger.
