The pair have been tipped to leave Old Trafford this summer.
Mata has been linked with a move to Everton in recent times following Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s arrival.
But according to the Mail, the duo will be given a chance to impress during pre-season.

Roma sign Jesus
To Italy now, where Roma have confirmed the signing of Juan Jesus from Inter Milan.
The Giallorossi will be hoping that the Brazilian will be good at dealing with crosses and will pray on attackers’ weaknesses as the Serie A side look to altar their recent dodgy form.
He joined on an initial season-long loan for a fee of €2million (£1.7m), with a compulsory purchase clause of €8million in there, should certain conditions be met before the end of next season which will be a testament to his success.
If he does well, then expect Roma to sell him on for a tasty prophet.
“I’m really happy to have joined such a great club and I can’t wait to get started,” the 25-year-old told Roma TV.
“I can promise the fans that I’ll always give my all and never stop running for Roma.”
Rotherham give up on Bradshaw
Rotherham have admitted defeat in their chase for Walsall striker Tom Bradshaw.
The Millers believed they had agreed a £500,000 deal for the 23-year-old, only for Barnsley to come in and top their offer.
Chairman Tony Stewart, said: “We had a bid and that bid was upped. We thought we had the deal bagged and done, but then Walsall came back, said there was a late bidder and would we increase our offer?
“At that point, you think, ‘Okay, what do we do now?’ I asked the manager (Alan Stubbs) if he thought the player was worth more than our last bid and he said ‘no’.
“That was the opinion of the manager and his team and (chief scout) Gee (Evans). Other clubs may think differently about what a player is worth and, of course, we respect that.”

The 20-year-old has moved to the Cherries on a four-year deal.
Ibe played 41 times in all competitions for the Reds last term.

AC Milan forward Carlos Bacca has been discussing his future after being linked with a number of clubs both in the Premier League and across Europe.
West Ham are believed to be monitoring his situation, but the man himself has told AS that his future will be decided by the man/woman/ethereal presence/gas upstairs.
“My future’s in God’s hands. Everyone knows I have a four-year contract with Milan.

Liverpool tried and failed to sign Digne
Liverpool made a fresh enquiry for France defender Lucas Digne before he agreed to join Barcelona in a £16.7million switch yesterday
Liverpool were interested in Digne last summer before he moved from Paris St Germain to Roma on loan for the season.
They made a second approach, together with Roma who wanted to make Digne’s loan move permanent, but lost out to Barcelona.
Sources close to Digne claim Liverpool were too slow to move for the left-back and they were also chasing Leicester’s Ben Chilwell.
The sources also claim Liverpool could have landed Digne for less than the €20million paid by Barcelona and the Reds’ search for a new left-back to challenge Alberto Moreno continues
